- In 77-83, Chevy only made hardtop
Corvettes. Ron decided to design a convertible. Intermeccanica made a few for Ron
but eventually made 35 total. Heinz Precter with ASC hired Intermeccanica and Ron to
develop and produce a 1984 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. They sold the project to
General Motors which became the 1985 (and later) Chevrolet factory convertible.
Flint went on to start his own company called Flint Concepts.
